The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process for adults who desire to join the Catholic faith and for those seeking more information on the Catholic Church. OCIA can also be a method for Catholics to complete their reception of the initiation sacraments.

Are you ready to explore the Catholic faith, complete your sacraments, or become a member of the Catholic Church? Our parish in Cottonwood, AZ welcomes you to the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) — formerly known as RCIA — a journey of faith, learning, and community.

Whether you are:

• Unbaptized and seeking to join the Catholic Church,

• Baptized in another Christian tradition and wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church,

• A baptized Catholic who has not yet received First Communion or Confirmation,
  the OCIA program is here to guide you every step of the way.

Class Schedule:

• Tuesdays | 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  Our sessions combine engaging catechesis, Scripture study, discussion, prayer, and fellowship with others who are walking a similar path.

• Classes start the week of September 21, 2025 and run through the Second Week of May, 2026.

The OCIA program is more than a class — it’s a time to grow in relationship with Christ, discover the richness of Catholic teaching, and experience the warmth of our parish community. Through the liturgical rites, group discussions, and personal reflection, you’ll be prepared to fully embrace the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist.
